SUMMARY: Use the following sites for ideas when you can't make it to work on time.

Nearly everyone is familiar with the classic school-age excuse for not bringing in an assignment on time:

"My dog ate my homework".

That excuse won't work in the real world. But some people thought these might.

For not showing up for a job:

"I'm not coming to work today because my computer has got a virus. And my computer means more to me then this job." 

When getting pulled over: 

"Sorry, Officer, I didn't realize my radar wasn't plugged in." 

For breaking a diet:

"French fries are vegetables."
